My Glam Farmhouse Kitchen

A couple of years ago, we completely remodeled our kitchen into the kitchen of my dreams and I am still completely in love with with it! My kitchen is by far the thing I get asked about the most on my social media accounts so today I wanted to do an updated blog post that includes everything about it. I love the look of white and gold together but I am sure to use some natural wood and other accents to balance it out. Scroll down to get the details on my glam farmhouse kitchen.

My Glam Farmhouse Kitchen

Light Fixtures

Safavieh is my go-to for so many of my home items! They have a huge variety of items to choose from and their quality is always spectacular. I knew I wanted lantern pendants to go over my island and they had so many different options to choose from. Ultimately, I chose the bigger ones because I feel like they make the perfect statement piece in the middle of my kitchen.

Over the kitchen table, I went with a round, 8-light chandelier that is simple, but stunning. I chose simple because I honestly wanted the pendants to be the main focus, and since they are close to the kitchen table, I didn’t want anything to take away from them.

Cabinets

The cabinets are from Woodcrest and are all white. The island we did a contrasting color and is a dark espresso. The four glass cabinet doors were actually plain glass and we had the medallions custom made on them. The pulls are an all time favorite of mine. I actually had them picked out first and designed the entire kitchen around them! I knew I wanted to add some gold to the kitchen and since these are acrylic too, they don’t look overdone. They really help dress up the room and have just the right amount of gold.

Countertops

The countertops are Cambria Quartz in Whitney. I had it on my island already and it is still my favorite, so I wanted it throughout the entire kitchen. It is white with a hint of sparkle to it, which I think adds some glam. You can read my entire guide to Quartz counters here.

Flooring and Backsplash

The floors are 12″x24″ porcelain marble tile with a matte finish. We used an all white grout in between which I am not sure I would recommend because it always looks dirty to me. The backsplash is polished marble tiles that have a beautiful crystalline flecking that pairs very well with the countertops.

Kitchen Table

Our table is from Pottery Barn and I just love the color of this wood. It also wears really well with small kids. I also love how it balances out all of the glam in the room. I recently got these chairs and love them! They clean so easily and really help break up all of the white. The boys use these kids chairs that are super easy to clean and comfortable for them to sit in, and these rugs are everything! They look amazing and clean up like a dream with just some soap and water!

Farmhouse Sink, Faucet, and Pot Filler

I walked into a local showroom and immediately fell in love with this faucet and sink. The faucet stands up a bit higher and I feel like it definitely makes a bit of a statement. I knew I wanted a large farmhouse sink too, and this one certainly does not disappoint. I wish I had this when the boys were babies to bathe them in! Another thing I HAD to have in my new kitchen was a pot filler, of course! I just love the way they look and how functional they are (but yes I admit it was mostly for the way they look). This one matched my faucet perfectly, too.

Paint Color

In the breakfast nook by my kitchen table and the wall by the bar cart is Sherwin Williams Repose Grey, but cut in half with white to make it lighter. The other part of my kitchen is Sherwin Williams Snowfall. Both are a very nice light grey that do not take on any muddy tones.

Appliances

When my mother sent me the link to these appliances, I knew that I had to have them. I don’t think there is another appliance line that could possibly go better in this kitchen. On the right is a built-in microwave above the single wall oven. This is the oven range , this is the dishwasher, and this is the refrigerator. The handle kits for the brushed gold are extra, but SO worth it. These appliances are seriously amazing.

Coffee Station

When I designed this kitchen I got rid of the old desk and turned it into a coffee station. I keep my Keurig on it, all of my mugs, and below in the cabinets and drawers, I keep all of my coffee. You can see how I organize it all here.
