My White and Gold Kitchen

We completely renovated and redecorated our kitchen a year and a half ago. Since our kitchen remodeling project, I have been making some small changes here and there. I decided to do an updated blog post to make sure everything was up to date and links were active since I get so many questions about it. I wanted you guys to have a complete resource to the entire room. I love the look of white and gold together — it gives a glam feel without being too over the top. I wanted to make sure I didn’t spend too much money on the gold parts, that way if I get sick of it in a few years, I can easily change it out. With that being said, let me tell you all about my white and gold kitchen!

Light Fixtures

Safavieh is my go-to for so many of my home items! They have a huge variety of items to choose from and their quality is always spectacular. I knew I wanted lantern pendants to go over my island and they had so many different options to choose from. Ultimately, I chose the bigger ones because I feel like they make the perfect statement piece in the middle of my kitchen.

Over the kitchen table, I went with a round, 8-light chandelier that is simple, but stunning. I chose simple because I honestly wanted the pendants to be the main focus, and since they are close to the kitchen table, I didn’t want anything to take away from them. You can see what my kitchen looked like before and my old light fixtures that I had here.

Cabinets

The cabinets are from Woodcrest and are all white. The four glass cabinet doors were actually plain glass and we had the medallions custom made on them.

Countertops

The countertops are Cambria Quartz in Whitney. I had it on my island already and it is still my favorite, so I wanted it throughout the entire kitchen. It is white with a hint of sparkle to it, which I think adds some glam. You can read my entire guide to Quartz counters here.

Flooring and Backsplash

The floors are 12″x24″ porcelain marble tile with a matte finish. We used an all white grout in between which I wouldn’t recommend as it looks a little dirty to me. Eventually we are going to have it re-grouted, probably in a very light grey/off-white. The backsplash is polished marble tiles that have a beautiful crystalline flecking that pairs very well with the countertops.

Hardware

Honestly, I think I designed the kitchen around these knobs. I saw them last year and immediately saved them on my phone. I knew I wanted to add some gold to the kitchen and since these are acrylic, they don’t look overdone. They really help dress up the room and are just the right amount of gold.

Kitchen Table

Our table is from Pottery Barn and my chairs are from a local furniture store, but I found similar ones here. The boys use these kids chairs that are super easy to clean and comfortable for them to sit in, and these rugs are everything! They look amazing and clean up like a dream with just some soap and water!

Farmhouse Sink, Faucet, and Pot Filler

I walked into a local showroom and immediately fell in love with this faucet and sink. The faucet stands up a bit higher and I feel like it definitely makes a bit of a statement. I knew I wanted a large farmhouse sink too, and this one certainly does not disappoint. I wish I had this when the boys were babies to bathe them in! Another thing I HAD to have in my new kitchen was a pot filler, of course! I just love the way they look and how functional they are (but yes I admit it was mostly for the way they look). This one matched my faucet perfectly, too.

Paint Color

In the breakfast nook by my kitchen table and the wall by the bar cart is Sherwin Williams Repose Grey, but cut in half with white to make it lighter. The other part of my kitchen is Sherwin Williams Snowfall. Both are a very nice light grey that do not take on any muddy tones.

Appliances

When my mother sent me the link to these appliances, I knew that I had to have them. I don’t think there is another appliance line that could possibly go better in this kitchen. On the right is a built-in microwave above the single wall oven. This is the oven range , this is the dishwasher, and this is the refrigerator. The handle kits for the brushed gold are extra, but SO worth it. These appliances are seriously amazing.

Coffee Station

When I designed this kitchen I got rid of the old desk and turned it into a coffee station. I keep my Keurig on it, all of my mugs, and below in the cabinets and drawers, I keep all of my coffee. You can see how I organize it all here.

Decor

I had so much fun decorating this kitchen. I am going to link as much of it as I can for all of you. My kitchen is almost complete. The only thing I need is some kind of window dressing on the windows looking out to the pool and something on the wall behind the kitchen table. However, since we are currently working on an addition, that will have to wait. The other thing that irks me is the cabinet company measured wrong. My cabinets and molding were supposed to go up to the ceiling and there is a gap. That is als on my list to remedy in the future.

Feel free to email me or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions. I love connecting with you guys!

Such a lovely and glam kitchen! I’m having my kitchen cabinets redone by a local cabinet refinisher and am thinking of doing all white cabinets with gold hardware like yours. My only concern is that the white cabinets will show dust and my kids fingerprints faster than other colors. Have you found this to be the case or is it easy to keep your white cabinets looking clean with kids?
